How to Deal with “People Come & Go” Moment

Everything has two sides, good and bad, just like the phrase “people come and go”.

It is a natural and inevitable part of life. Relationships and connections with others can be fleeting and temporary, and we may find ourselves saying goodbye to people we once considered close. When people enter our lives, they can bring new experiences, perspectives, and knowledge that we may not have encountered otherwise. When people leave, we have the opportunity to reflect on the relationships we had and the lessons we learned.

Everyone is going through their journey of ups and downs, joys and sorrows, and we all have our own unique stories to tell.

“Maybe, the only constant in life is change”

Illness, death, major life events, or something we can’t control

We move away from someone or they move away from us.

  • Life transitions

During major life transitions, such as moving, starting a new school or college, or getting into a new relationship.

  • Changing priorities

Priorities and interests may shift.

By understanding these factors, we can gain a better understanding of the changes and transitions that may occur.

Let’s break down the bad sides of the “People come and go”:

  • Loss and grief

Losing someone we care about can be one of the most difficult experiences we face in life. It’s important to allow ourselves to feel these emotions and to give ourselves time and space to heal.

  • Loneliness and disconnection
  • Change and uncertainty

We may feel like we are constantly in a state of transition, never able to fully relax and enjoy the present moment. It’s important to embrace change and focus on the things that we can control in our lives.

  • Trust issue

We may be hesitant to open up to new people or to invest in relationships.

It’s important to remember that we have the power to choose how we respond to these challenges. By acknowledging our emotions, reaching out to others, embracing change, and working through trust issues, we can overcome the negative aspects of this reality and continue to grow and thrive as individuals.

Sometimes in life, we need to see the bright side, so let’s break down the good side:

  • Unexpected opportunities

It opens up opportunities for new connections and experiences. We can meet new people who can bring fresh perspectives, knowledge, and opportunities that we may not have encountered otherwise. By being open to new people and experiences, we can broaden our horizons and grow as individuals.

  • Personal growth

When people leave our lives, we have the opportunity to reflect on the relationships we had and the lessons we learned. This can help us to improve our communication and relationship skills, and become more self-aware. We can use these experiences to become better versions of ourselves.

  • Cherishing the present

Reminds us to appreciate the present moment and cherish the time we have with the people we care about. We can use this awareness to cultivate meaningful connections and to be intentional in our relationships, knowing that they may not last forever.

  • Resilience

It can be challenging, but it also teaches us resilience. We learn to adapt to change, cope with loss, and move forward. These experiences can make us stronger and more resilient individuals.

In conclusion, by focusing on the present, practicing gratitude, staying connected, building new relationships, embracing change, and practicing self-care, you can navigate the experience of people coming and going in your life with grace and resilience. Remember that while it can be challenging at times, it’s ultimately up to you to create a meaningful and fulfilling life, regardless of who comes and goes along the way.
